Tubular solenoid
Tubular solenoids operate on the same principle as linear solenoids but are enclosed in a tubular housing and can function in either a pulling or pushing direction. When energized, the plunger is pulled into the housing, performing the desired movement.
The mounting position of the magnet is flexible; however, the weight of the armature may need to be taken into account depending on the orientation.
The solenoid is usually returned to its initial position by external forces. Versions with built-in return springs are available. The magnetic forces specified in the data sheets do not include any return spring force.
