Monostable Reversible Solenoids
A short current pulse moves the armature, causing a linear stroke movement. In monostable solenoids with a single coil, a second, de-energized holding position can also be achieved by a spring or a permanent magnet.
Because of pulse operation, these types of electromagnets require very little energy and are therefore also suitable for battery operation.
