Company History:

1991: Founded as EAS Eingabe- und Antriebs-Systeme GmbH, based in Stuttgart

1992: Company headquarters moved to Riederich

1996: Company renamed to indEAS GmbH and relocated to Metzingen

2004: Moved into own new building in Pliezhausen

2007: New business area: “Mechatronic Systems and Solutions”

2008: Start of series production for Porsche Panamera ignition key pull-out lock as first automotive project

2010: Start of series production of glove box actuator for BMW X5, X6

2012: Start of series production of stepper motor with sensor technology as FDA-approved medical device product

2015: Expansion of office and production facilities by an additional 1,100 m²

2018: Equipping all Porsche model series with ignition key pull-out locks; annual volume of 250,000 units

2020: Introduction of linear motor with integrated position sensor technology

2023: Multi-turn actuator with HMI touch control unit for synchronous adjustment of gap dimensions

2024: Compact and corrosion-resistant high-performance holding magnet (>600 N at 40 mm diameter)
